environmental conservation

Triage employees have an appreciation for the outdoors and enjoy working together to help preserve our natural environment. We have joined in a partnership with the Golden Gate National Parks Conservancy to work on projects such as native habitat restoration, gardening on Alcatraz, trail maintenance and beach clean-up.

Our partnership with the National Parks Conservancy creates a physical impact on the environment so that we can continue to enjoy San Francisco's unique natural treasures. Last year Triage employees donated over 300 hours of their time to these outdoor activities.

To help mitigate the environmental impact of the Triage office, Triage employees also recycled more than 15,000 pounds of paper, 1,000 pounds of cans and bottles, as well as hundreds of ink and toner cartridges and batteries in 2007.

Even before the notion of LEED – CI (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design – Commercial Interiors) ratings were developed, Triage was committed to providing a sustainable and healthy work environment for its employees. Over 90% of our work spaces have direct exposure to daylight and views. Public transportation is closely proximate to both of our offices and Triage encourages its use by offering a 132(f) plan. Local suppliers are prioritized over distant ones to minimize carbon emissions from the transport of supplies and furniture. In our Atlanta office, Triage uses recycled materials and carpet squares to minimize waste. Triage introduced recycling to its office neighbors in Atlanta and, now, recycling stations are conveniently located throughout both of our office buildings.

"I love waking up each day and going to work to make a difference in the world. Triage delivers a tangible product to our clients and at the end of the day, makes the world a better place to live."
