youth education and mentorship
Triage impacts local youth by enriching their education and well-being. Triage has a long-standing partnership with Redding Elementary School, located in the Tenderloin neighborhood of San Francisco, where a rich diversity of students attend grades K-5. Triage develops innovative lesson plans and activities which foster student learning and promote a healthy lifestyle for the entire student body. Last year, Triage employees donated over 650 hours of their time to impact the entire student body of 350 students. Throughout the academic year, Triage corresponds with Redding School students in a Pen Pal program. This letter exchange encourages reading, good writing and spelling skills and connects youth with positive role models.
Our Atlanta partner, The Bridge, is an organization which provides therapeutic, educational and residential care to Georgia’s troubled and abused adolescents. To further The Bridge’s educational mission of vocational readiness, Triage works face-to-face with the students to provide resume-writing, interviewing and job selection skills.
